Our EXPERIENCE, having worked for three electron microscope manufacturers in demonstration, sales and marketing roles we have a vast amount of experience in understanding both the instruments and the methods used to market the products. Add to that having served as a service engineer and having been involved in instrument design as well as having run Protrain since 1982 we have an in depth knowledge of the total electron microscopy business. We have been active in laboratory and instrument assessment around the world, helping laboratory managers to better understand the staff and instrument problems in their laboratory often demonstrating how total quality management is used to benefit both the laboratory and its clients. We have also been active with equipment manufacturers advising upon instrument design, product improvement, instrument demonstration and marketing. The CONSULTANCY service also covers specimen preparation, applications, operating problems and interpretation of results in SEM, TEM and EDS. Having worked in this role for a number of microscope manufacturers, in many parts of the world, we believe your problem could probably be solved quicker than you think? The cost £390 per day plus VAT in the UK Overseas the costs are £390 per day plus travel For an extensive project the cost is subject to negotiation. MICROSCOPE purchase is part of our consultancy service where we guide you through the purchase from start to finish including the demonstration of the instruments. Our part may vary from a basic survey of your requirements and a suggestion as to which equipment is most appropriate through to a total involvement from the first to the last day of the evaluation. Using a wide range of instruments in our consultancy role we are able to see how different manufacturer's instruments behave in the laboratory environment. Scanning and transmission microscopes, energy dispersive x-ray analytical systems, instrument accessories, sputter coaters and cryo systems are involved in our training courses, giving us first hand experience on how they perform and how less experienced operators are able to understand the products sufficient to obtain high quality results. This knowledge, along with our depth of experience with the products, enables us to advise clients with a high degree of confidence that the ideal instrument is being purchased for the tasks proposed. We are also able to deflect the high pressure sales and demonstration techniques used by the manufacturers and considerably ease the burden of the prospective purchaser.
Our services are available in three styles which you may use as parts or
as a complete purchasing service. As we are given the opportunity to work with many new instruments for the first time the cost for this service is lower than any of our other options. Cost £200 per day (plus VAT in the UK) plus travel for overseas. More Information? updated 30/05/2010 |
